Are You Sure You Are Using Your Autoresponders Correctly?

Far too many online marketers use autoresponders incorrectly, and it is absolutely shocking to see how many rich gurus and newbies alike leave thousands of uncollected dollars lying around, simply because they aren’t using autoresponders efficiently.

Yet, all of these costly mistakes are so easily avoided, just by making small simple tweaks to the way you handle your lists!

IMPORTANT NOTE:

If you are 100% certain you are using your autoresponders perfectly, and you know exactly what you are doing, then there is no need for you to continue reading this article. But if you are like 99.9% of online marketers and you are incorrectly connecting to your list, then this article (and accompanying video) may be one of the most important quick money strategies you ever learn.

Now, there’s a deep understanding that you need to have about how autoresponders not only work for a website, but how they interconnect on the back end. Essentially, your website is the first thing that people see, and optimizing it is critical.

But how you set up your autoresponders will help pull in double or triple your sales (and sometimes a lot more!). Whether you’re doing affiliate marketing or more advanced membership sites, you need to connect your autoresponders correctly. They are your back end sales machine.

============================
Remember These Basics…
============================

Let’s start by just basically explaining what an autoresponder is and how it functions as a back end sales machine. Essentially, an autoresponder collects information about your market, like their name, email address, phone number, address, and some custom data.

But they do so much more than that. It allows you to pre-populate with messages like multi-part ecourses, giveaways and coupons, articles and reviews, newsletters, and tips and tricks. It also allows you to broadcast messages like time limited offers, giveaways, discount offers, articles and reviews.

Many people don’t understand the difference between pre-populated messages and broadcast messages and will use one or the other incorrectly. There are important rules associated with setting up your autoresponders to interconnect, and it is critical that you fully grasp the concept of how and when to broadcast a message or vs how and when to pre-populate it.

It is equally important to understand that there are specific content types associated with the particular autoresponder, whether it’s pre-populated or broadcast, and what people are expecting to receive.

============================
There Are Only Three Types
of Autoresponder Content Types…

============================

There are only three content types. In other words, there are only three uses for an autoresponder. And let’s go through those.

The Niche Main List Autoresponder

The first is to have a niche topic list. That means that every piece of content that you send to your main niche list should be 100% focused on the content they want, and be highly targeted to meet their expectations. Never, ever, ever send random untargeted content.

For example, you would never send out dog training information to someone who is interested in business startup information. It would not go over well with your list, and would likely result in a high unsubscribe rate.

The Product Specific Pre-Sell Autoresponder

The second autoresponder content type is a product-specific pre-sell, meaning every bit of content that is sent out to someone on the pre-sell list has to do with selling one specific product that you own. In other words, the only work you do on this autoresponder is to populate it with messages that are meant to help boost sales for one particular product that you own. This rarely applies if you are selling an affiliate product (yes, there is a huge difference!)

The Product Specific Post-Sell Autoresponder

The other type of content type is a post-sell, specific to the same product. In other words, the only content that you put on a post-sell autoresponder is content that’s very specific to giving them assistance with consuming the product that they bought from you.

Neither the product-specific pre-sell or the product-specific post-sell applies to you promoting anybody else’s product. It is strictly related to pre-selling or post-selling your product.

Those are the ONLY three content types. And if you’re using your autoresponder for any other purpose, like sending out broadcasts when it should be a pre-populated messages, pre-populating with a message that should be broadcast, or if you’re trying to sell other people’s products on either your pre-sell or your post-sell content list, then you’re making a crucial mistake. And we’re going to review exactly how to correct that mistake and make a lot more money with your lists with this free 25 minute video called “Anatomy of an Autoresponder”…
